Working with porcelain, I create sculptures that are visually absorbing; rich in layers and texture.
Being continually drawn to surface pattern and structural forms that are repetitive in layers, I translate and interpret these into the fabric of my work.
These sculptures are inspired by how nature interacts creating unexpected connections. Providing me with rich visual resources, I interpret and use these to convey how we experience the world.
Subtle metaphors are at the epicentre of my work, compelling me to develop the sculptures by pushing the parameters of clay to visually articulate discussions about our natural world.
